Scary Calls

What qualifies as a scary call?

I'm sure all of us have various interpretations for "scary calls" here, be it phantom voices, unknown strangers, "Tai Yee Long" (a.k.a loansharks), scorned lovers, parents, principal, teachers, chairman or boss or company, supervisor, ......., insurance agents, financial advisers, Insurance Agents, Financial Advisers, ..... INSURANCE AGENTS, FINANCIAL ADVISERS.

NO prizes for those who managed to guess what calls i just got.

Answer the following....

Insurance agents = Financial advisers ?
a) True
b) Yea
c) Non False
d) Should be la

In the most common of terms and those who do not have a four or three year business degree, would probably agree with me. They will usually be your friends whom you have known for quite sometime and may or may not be close. They will call you out of no where one day on the pretext of asking how are you are you busy? Once you say NO, the trap is sprung and they will launch into a very well rehearsed monologue of listening to their long term short term medium term, don't know what else term plans and consider proetcting yourself against 1001 or more diseases and death and still miraculously earn some money after signing a plan of 25 years or more years.

For starters, i have nothing against this field as a career, but however, i feel, they should adpot a selective method towards enlisting friends as their potential clients. Most students have no money to plan, even if they do, most have some form of plans already undertaken by their parents, so wait till they start working first then attack, higher chances of getting them and better commission ma. Another thing, is when people say they are not comfortable to see you or not interested to go at all, they MEAN IT and are trying to be nice and remain friends, so stop pestering them and you can save a lot of time and money and go find another target ma, don't force people or potential clients to say "Stop calling me!" or "F*** Off!" or "Go Away!" or something to that extent. Most of us still wanna retain the friendship but CURRENTLY still don't wanna be your client and may even actually CONSIDER to be clients in the FUTURE you see?

Haix. i really should learn how to handle this kind of calls. For all those who have experience feel free to share your skills and tactics on getting out of smiliar and very sticky situations. Comments are very appreciated. Sorry to friends who call me before reagarding this and are currently reading this. But this is how i feel, so excuse me for being frank. :P
